Education

In 2019, I received a Masters Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. As part of my program, I joined the Pierce St. Counseling Center (ICC) where I began seeing my first clients under group and individual supervision. The therapist training was unique, requiring all associate therapists to participate in their own individual and group psychotherapy and attend weekly trainings by visiting experts in the fields. After I graduated, I chose to stay at Pierce St. ICC for an internship. In 2020, I joined The San Francisco Marriage and Couples Center to pursue specialized training and supervision in modern Couples Therapy approaches including Emotionally Focused therapy and Psychoanalytic Couples Therapy. While living in the Bay Area, I regularly attending talks and trainings at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. In particular, I became interested in deepening my understanding of the effects of early childhood trauma and neglect so attended numerous talks on the psychological effects of dissociation.
